About Ruth

Hi, I’m Ruth!

I am a white, queer, neurodivergent, and non-binary person. My pronouns are they/she.

I live in Portland, OR, an area that encompasses the traditional village sites of many tribes along the Columbia River: Multnomah, Wasco, Cowlitz, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Bands of Chinook, Tualatin, Kalapuya, and Molalla.

It began with a simple wish…to help people feel good about themselves.

  • For over two decades, hair design has been my path of artistic expression.

  • Offering you neuro-affirming haircare is a dream made into reality.

  • My cutting style is "lived-in precision." I achieve this with a combination of precision and free form sculpting.

  • I have a passion for your curls and am Level 1 Rëzo Cut Certified. This is a beautiful method that creates perfect body, balance and shape.

Mental health challenges and a sensory-processing sensitivity made me seek healing.

From yoga to massage, Reiki, and sobriety — I’ve explored it all trying to find health. I lived in a Buddhist monastery and earned a B.S in Social Sciences/Psychology. And along the way I realized: The healing process is an evolution. The path is the goal.

Nothing makes me happier than helping you feel at ease while creating beautiful hair.
